Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mayes Funeral Directors in Norman. The family will be at Mayes Funeral Directors from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Norman IOOF Cemetery with Harry Smith officiating. Mayes Funeral Directors is handling arrangements. Mr. Cooper was born July 11, 1918, in Snyder, to James Haney and Mabel Elliott Cooper. He graduated from Snyder High School in 1936. He attended the University of Oklahoma. He owned and operated Cooper Vending Company in Norman for over 50 years. Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James; and sister, Bess Stewart. Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife, Barbara; sons, Tony and wife, Beverley, of Smyrna, Tenn., and Terry and wife, Beth, of Topeka, Kan.; daughters, Ellen Fox and husband, James, of Houston and Nancy Cooper of Norman; grandchildren, Phillip and Greg Cooper of Norman, Barbara Jo Fox of Houston, Lindsey and Kathryn Huddleston of Norman and Devin and Piper Cooper of Topeka; and sister, Francis “Cricket” Turner of Little River, Kan. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Kiowa County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/kiowa/kiowa.html
