Amarillo Globe News 26 Mar 1998 Cleo Clower PADUCAH - Cleo Clower, 93, died Wednesday, March 25, 1998. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ed Peckham, pastor, and Dr. Tilden Armstrong, retired minister, officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery by Seigler Funeral Home. Mrs. Clower was born in Snyder, Okla., and had been a resident of Paducah since 1926. She worked as a telephone operator and later as a railway express agent. She also had operated a record store and worked as a department store clerk. She worked for the Paducah Housing Authority. In 1978, she was honored with a citation from Gov. Clements and President Carter for her work with the Paducah Senior Citizens Organization. Mrs. Clower had been a member of First United Methodist Church since 1926. She married J.D. Clower in 1926 at Paducah. He died in 1981. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Jumper, in 1991.
