All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Hobart Rose Cemetery--Hobart OK Lawton Consitituion 13 May 2003 Walter Elton Cary HOBART — Funeral for Walter Elton Cary, 100, Hobart, will be at 2 p.m. today at Hobart First Christian Church with the Rev. Doran Myers officiating. Mr. Cary died Saturday, May 10, 2003, in Norman. Burial will be at Hobart Rose Cemetery under direction of Hackney-Gish Funeral Home, Hobart. He was born June 15, 1902, to Daniel Bowman and Mary Ann Cary on the family farm northwest of Cooperton, Oklahoma Territory. He married Lois Ann Mitchell on Nov. 4, 1939. He worked for the City of Hobart mainly as a policeman and fireman for almost 40 years. He retired in 1967 when he was fire chief.
