All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Bakersfield Californian Maxine Dunn 6/18/1929 8/17/2002 Maxine Dunn was born on June 18, 1929, in Mountain View, Oklahoma, and passed away on August 17, 2002, in Bakersfield, California. Maxine moved to Bakersfield in 1940 where she attended school and was later employed by Merchants Printing for over 20 years, during which time she married and raised a family. In 1974 she joined her husband in real estate, where she found her passion as a successful award winning sales woman at Dunn Realty. Maxine loved working with people, which came easy for her, because of her outgoing personality and compassion for others. Maxine will be missed by many as she rarely met a stranger. She extended her love for people through her charitable work, during her lifetime membership in Alpha Zeta Beta Sorority, where she founded life-long friendships with her fellow sorority sisters. Maxines greatest love of all was her family who will be lost without her, and who will forever cherish her memory. Maxine has reunited with her husband of 45 years, J. Edgar Dunn, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving daughters, Marla and Melinda and her husband, Leo; three grandchildren, Christopher, Haley and Brooklynn; her brother, Carroll Geer; her aunts, Gladys Vennum, Vilo Rhodes and Sammy Muse; stepsons, Eddie and Rodney and their wives, Hedwig and Laurie; a special friend, Angie Zaboleta, who has always been there.
