All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 30 Jul 2002 Cecil Lloyd Eberhart Funeral for Cecil Lloyd Eberhart, 72, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with the Rev. James T. Egan, Harvest Baptist Church, Lawton, officiating. Mr. Eberhart died Sunday, July 28, 2002, at a local hospital. Burial will be at Hobart Rose Cemetery. He was born Oct. 20, 1929, southeast of Hobart. He attended first grade through seventh grade at Prairie Dell School. When the school closed, he attended Roosevelt School. He graduated in 1948, and began working for International Harvester. He married Nela Fae Padgett on April 17, 1949, in Pettit, Texas. He moved to West Texas in 1952 and farmed in the Sudan, Texas, area until December 1953. He went to work for Amoco on Dec. 18, 1953, and worked at various locations. He started at Slaughter Gasoline Plant, Sundown, Texas, and transferred to Edgewood Gasoline Plant in 1963. In 1982, he moved to Evanston, Wyo. He retired in November 1984 after 31 years in all phases of operations, and moved back to Grand Saline, Texas. He farmed and ranched in Grand Saline until moving to Lawton in 1994. He was a licensed real estate agent. He was a Baptist and a deacon at Harvest Baptist Church, Lawton. He was a member of the Good Sams Travel Club and Winnebago Itasca Travel Club in Lawton. Survivors include his wife, of the home; four children and their spouses: Janis Faye and Bill Louderman, Victoria, Texas; Eldon Allen and Brenda Eberhart, Lawton; Weldon Lewis and Geralyn Eberhart, Las Vegas, Nev.; and Beverly Kay and Larry Moore, Rowlett, Texas; two brothers: Walter Lyle Eberhart Jr., Sundown, Texas; and James Albert Eberhart, Dallas; a sister: Bonnie Bell Schmidt, Cordell; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lyle Eberhart Sr. and Vernia Luella Eberhart; and a son, Lloyd Alvin Eberhart.
