All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution 18 Jun 2002 'Bill" Estes CARNEGIE — Graveside service for "Bill" Estes, 87, Carnegie, was Monday at Oakhill Cemetery, Drumright, with the Rev. Ray Moffeit, pastor, Drumright First Baptist Church, officiating. Mrs. Estes died Wednesday, June 12, 2002, in Carnegie. Arrangements were by Michael's Funeral Home, Drumright. She was born Jan. 29, 1915, in Conuch County, Ala., to Benjamin and Anna Brown Dulany. She was raised and educated in Evergreen, Ala. Her family later moved to Tomball, Texas, where she completed her education. She married J.B. Estes on Nov. 30, 1929, and they moved to Mexia, Texas. They moved to Drumright in 1940, and she worked at Huff's Rexall Drug Store. In the 1950s, she and her husband operated a cafe in downtown Drumright. She was a member of Drumright First Baptist Church. She moved to Carnegie in December 1996, where she remained until her death. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Darlene and Charlie Harrington, Lawton; a grandson, Steve Blanton, Comanche; a granddaughter, Carol Zachary, Davis; four great-grandchildren: Drew and Ashli Blanton; and Cody and Cade Zachary; a sister, Margie Sue Melton, Louisiana; a sister-in-law, Mamie Clark, Texas; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1984; a son, J.B.
