Service was to be at 10:30 a.m. today in Central Baptist Church with the Rev. David Lawrence officiating. Burial was to be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Duncan under the direction of Robbins Funeral Home in Fletcher. Howard was born July 7, 1924, in Mountain Park to Clifford G. and Nancy B. Cranfill Edwards. He married Marla Estela Macias on Feb. 14, 1975. He grew up in the Indiahoma and Snyder areas, graduating from Snyder High School. He lived in Amarillo, Texas, for a short time before moving to Sterling and then to the Central High community. Howard worked for the City of Lawton in the Public Library. He also worked in the maintenance departments of the Lawton Public Schools and the Future Farmers of America. Survivors include his wife, Marla, of the home; three daughters, Barbara Edwards of Chickasha, Brenda Parker of Lawton, and Nora Lynn Sovo and her husband, Gene, of Sterling; four stepsons, Barnie Banda and his wife, Connie, of Fayetteville, Ark., Ricky Banda and his wife, Susan, of Elgin, Texas, Zeke Banda and his wife, Kathy, of Cordova, Tenn., and Steven Banda and his wife, Deana, of Elgin, Texas; 10 grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; and 12 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Lloyd Edwards and J.R. Wade Edwards; two sons, Frank Edwards and Johnny Edwards; and a stepgrandchild.
