All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Lawton Constitution May 8, 2002 Gladys Emmons SNYDER — Funeral for Gladys Emmons, 94, Snyder, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Snyder First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Emmons died Monday, May 6, 2002, at her home. Burial will be at Mountain Park Cemetery under direction of Becker Funeral Home. She was born Jan. 1, 1908, in Mountain Park. She married Homer Emmons on Dec. 23, 1925, in Mountain Park. He died Dec. 4, 1986. They farmed and lived in the Mountain Park community until 1969, when they moved to Snyder. She was a homemaker and assisted Homer on the farm until their retirement in 1985. She was a member of Cold Springs Friends Church, and later Snyder First United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters: Geraldine Baden, Roosevelt; and Linda Long, Elk City; one son, Orville Emmons, Indiahoma; 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Leon; and one daughter, Joann Emmons McCullar.
