Thelma Goodin

HEREFORD - Thelma Goodin, 87, of Baton Rouge, La., a former Hereford 
resident, died Saturday, April 4, 1998.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Gililland-Watson Funeral Home Rose 
Chapel with the Rev. Terry Cosby, pastor of First Baptist Church, 
officiating. Burial will be in West Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Goodin was born in Sentinel, Okla. She moved to Deaf Smith County in 
1973 from Roosevelt, Okla. She lived in Hereford from 1978 until 1991, 
when she moved to Louisiana. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

She married Renn Goodin in 1927 at Roosevelt. He died in 1984.

Survivors include two daughters, Vera Newton of Hereford and Patsy Berry 
of Denham Springs, Ark.; a sister, Bernice Gilbert of Siloam Springs, 
Ark.; a brother, James Carpenter of Roosevelt; four grandchildren; and 
eight great-grandchildren.
