Roy Luster Hawkins

Roy Luster Hawkins, 72, of Amarillo, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 1999.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 
Ivy Chapel, 2820 Virginia Circle, with the Rev. Robert Field, pastor of 
Southeast Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens 
Cemetery.

Mr. Hawkins was born in Mountain View, Okla., and had been an Amarillo 
resident since 1939. Prior to his retirement, he was a meat cutter at 
Pantex. He then owned Hawkins Family Firewood.

Mr. Hawkins was a member of the Amarillo Senior Citizens Association and 
the Nazarene Church.

He married Lou Farrow in 1946 at Portales, N.M. He was preceded in death 
by a son, Timothy Henry Charles Hawkins, in 1992.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Roy Thomas Hawkins of Odessa; and six 
grandchildren.

The family will be at 2809 Carter. They suggest memorials be to Gideons 
International, P.O. Box 2304, Amarillo, TX 79105; or Boys Ranch, P.O. Box 
1890, Amarillo, TX 79174-0001.
