Haney PLAINVIEW - Goldie H. Haney, 93, died Monday, Nov. 15, 1999. Services will be at 3 p.m. today in Lemons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lance Cypert, pastor of First Baptist Church of Quitaque, officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Haney was born in Deering, N.D., and moved to Oklahoma as a baby. In 1940, she moved to Texas with her husband and six children then moved to Plainview in 1949. For seven years, Mrs. Haney owned a cafe on Columbia Street. She enjoyed writing poetry and gardening. She married Buster Earl Haney in 1924 at Roosevelt, Okla. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1981 and by a son, Lavon Henry. Survivors include three daughters, Zola Jackson of Quitaque, Marianne Jack of Paris and Doris Dorsett of Santa Rosa, Calif.; two sons, Gail Haney of Lubbock and Roy Haney of Tampico, Ill.; 18 grandchildren; 39 great- grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
