Funeral services for Marion Aldo Jaye, pioneer Kiowa county resident, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Mountain View First Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Pask Van, paster officiating. Burial followed in the Mountain View cemetery under the direction of Knight Funeral Home. Mr. Jaye, who was 70 years of age, died Monday, March 21 at the Hobart General Hospital, where he had been a patient for several days. Born May 30,1878 in Parker county, Texas he moved to Oklahoma with his parents when a small child, and had been a resident of the state since. He was united in marriage to the former Miss Josephine Stiener on January 5,1908 at Saddle Mountain Mission and to this union was born five children. Survivors include his widow, three sons, Rex of Mountain View, Marion of Indiahoma; and Bub of Phoenix, Arizona; two daughters, Mrs.Birdie Howe of Phoenix; and Mrs. Iva Gaskill of Mountain View. Other survivors include a grandson Gary Howe and two granddaughters, Sharon How e and Vicki Gaskill; a brother C.E. Jaye of Hobart; and a sister, Mrs. Daisy Stewart of Mountain View. He was preceeded in death by one brother Oliver, and one sister, Edna.
