All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.html ========================================================================== James, Doris Elizabeth "De" De (Doris Elizabeth) James left this world, August 13, 2005 at 5:30 PM, from complications of a heart attack. De was born in Hobart, Oklahoma, July 24, 1947, eventually moving with her family to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where she graduated from John Marshall High School in 1965. De, an avid OU Sooners fan, attended Oklahoma University where she met her husband of 38 years, Johnny James, whom she leaves behind with her two sons, Tom and Kevin James, in addition to her younger brother, Dennis D. Cupps, of Oklahoma City. Her parents, Norris D. and Retha E. Cupps, both of Oklahoma City, preceded her in death. De returned to college after both of her sons started grade school, receiving a degree in Business Computer Programming from OSU Tech. De and her family relocated to Cary, North Carolina, where they have lived since 1984. She had been the Business Manager for Pace Reporting Services, Inc. in Cary, North Carolina for the past 13 years. In her spare time, De took pride in decorating her home, enjoyed a challenging game of Bridge, and you could often find her curled up with a good book or listening to some of her favorite music that included the likes of Jimmy Buffett, The Beach Boys, the Beatles, Raleigh's own Clay Aiken, and anything related to Bluegrass. A Memorial Service will be held at the Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary, North Carolina, Thursday, August 18, 2005 at 3:00PM. Dress will be casual. An open house, 'Celebration of Life' will take place immediately following the service for friends of the family.
