King SNYDER — Funeral for Mildred K. King, 88, Snyder, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Snyder, with the Rev. Jeff Flowers, pastor, officiating. Mrs. King died Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, in a Lawton hospital. Burial will be at Mountain Park Cemetery, Mountain Park, under direction of Becker Funeral Home, Snyder. She was born Oct. 22, 1915, on a farm west of Mountain Park to Charles M. and Letha "Lela" Tucker Reece. She grew up and attended Mountain Park School. Her family later moved to a farm east of Mountain Park. She married Winston Ray King on May 20, 1939, in Frederick. They farmed in the Mountain Park and Snyder areas for a time. The family moved to San Jose, Calif., at various times but always returned to the Snyder area. In San Jose, she was employed as a manager of Pepper Tree Estates, a large mobile home park. She remained in that position until she was 80 years old. In 1995, she retired and moved back into the Snyder area. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Snyder, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Jerry and Lynda King, Lawton; and Wayne and Susie King, St. Joseph, Mo.; four grandchildren: Bret King, Santa Ana, Calif.; Crystal King, Anaheim, Calif.; Julie Stephens and her husband, Scott, Chapin, S.C.; and Kevin King, St. Joseph, Mo.; five great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a brother, Harce Reece.
