All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.html ========================================================================== Lett, Cleo Emmons Funeral service for Cleo Emmons Lett, 101, Mountain park, will be at 2:00 pm Friday in the Becker Funeral Home Chapel, Snyder, with Rev. Jeff Flowers, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Snyder, officiating. Mrs. Lett died Tuesday at her home in Mountain Park. Burial will be in Mountain Park Cemetery under the direction of the Becker Funeral Home of Snyder. Family will greet friends Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6pm to 8pm. She was born February 21, 1904 in Fairfield, Texas, to Glen and Ina Emmons. She married Roy Lett on January 27, 1927 in Fairfield, Texas. He died September 1, 1996. Together, she and her husband farmed and ranched, and were married for 69 years. Cleo was recognized as the 'Oldest Pioneer Resident" in the Snyder area in 2002. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Snyder, and for many years was a member of the Richland Home Demonstration Club. Survivors include a son, Leroy Lett and his wife Iletta of Snyder; a daughter, Geneve Lett Butler and husband Paul, Edmond, Oklahoma; a brother, Duane Emmons of Cleburne, Texas; two grandchildren, Bruce Lett and his wife Tennie, Snyder, and Brad Butler of Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by four sisters, four brothers and a grandson, Jarrel. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
