The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. ====================================================================== Buck James Lore Buck James Lore, beloved husband, father, grandfather and stranger to none, was called home on July 1, 2002 at the age of 71. Born in Hobart, Oklahoma on April 25, 1931 to Benjamin Arthur and Alice Marie Lore, he was raised in, and was a lifelong resident of the Oklahoma City area. Buck accepted Christ as his personal Savior in 1957 and was a member of Blue Lakes Baptist Church in Norman, Oklahoma. Buck served in the United States Army Corps of Engineers at Ft. Leonard Wood in Missouri, he returned to Oklahoma, in 1953 where he met his wife to-be, Novella. The couple were married on Nov. 4, 1955 in Oklahoma City by W.E. Cresswell. They made their home and raised their four children in the home built with love and Buck's two strong hands. After a successful career that covered several areas of the oil exploration business, working with Smiley-Little Drilling, A-1 Bit & Tool Co., and Ward Drlg. Buck started and was the heart and soul of a successful welding and rig service business. Upon his retirement in 1993, Buck turned his full attention to his passions of family, fishing, and helping others. Among his activities was to work with the Union Baptist Mission Builders, helping build churches in several locations. Buck was preceded in death by his parents and only sister, Byrl. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Novella, of the home, and all 4 of his children; Jamey Allen & husband Gary of Moore; Kelly Lore, of Colorado Springs, CO; Brian Lore & wife Tammie, of Medford, OK; Casey Lore & wife Tammy, of Moore; 11 grandchildren, Jaclyn Allen, of Sherman, TX, Robyn Allen, of Tulsa, OK, Lori Allen & Pam Allen, of Moore; Jonathan Lore & Katy Lore, of Norman, Jacob & David Lore, of Medford, OK, Jennifer Morgan, of Norman, Jay Don & Alyxis DeShazo, of Moore; his brother-in-law, Nolen Morgan & wife Pat, of Norman; & his fishing buddy, George White. From very humble beginnings, Dad worked hard building his family. He willingly sacrificed and led by example through his love and tender-heartedness. His legacy of love, strength of character and sense of family will give those of us who loved and knew him great joy always. Yes, we'll miss you Dad, but your love of life, passion for your family and incredible energy and zest for life will be the things for which you are most remembered by all. Get our camp spot ready! We Love You. Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, July 5, 2002, at Blue Lakes Baptist Church in Norman with Rev. Rodney Campbell officiating. Interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
