Daniel Lee Lane, 73, of Central Point, died December 6, 2006 at home. 
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at 
Conger~Morris Central Point Chapel. 541-664-3361. Peter-John Courson 
of Applegate Christian Fellowship will officiate.

Daniel was born February 7, 1933 in Hobert, Okla. to Robert and Cleo 
Lane. He grew up in Springfield, Ore. and lived in Gold Hill for the 
past 35 years. On March 22, 1989 in Reno, Nev., he married JoAnn 
Lane.

He was retired from the Local 701 as an operating engineer. He 
enjoyed guide fishing and fishing. He belonged to the Masons. He 
served in the United States Army, Army National Reserves and Army 
National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn; stepson, Mark Seals; step-
daughters, Diana Davis and Dawn Greene; sister, Maryann Vermillion; 
brothers, Donald and Tom Lane; and eight grandchildren. He was 
preceded in death by his mother, Cleo M. Hubbard.
