Margie L. Moore

MULESHOE - Margie L. Moore, 72, died Monday, Sept. 14, 1998.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church of 
Muleshoe with the Rev. Brad Reeves, pastor, and Curtis Shelburne, minister 
of 16th & Avenue D Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in 
Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery by Ellis Funeral Home.

Ms. Moore was born in Lone Wolf, Okla. She graduated from Happy High 
School in 1942 and moved to Muleshoe that same year. She received her 
bachelor of arts degree in 1945 and her master of education in 1951 from 
Texas Tech University.

Ms. Moore taught English for 35 years at Brownfield High School, 
Sweetwater High School, Muleshoe High School, five years at Post High 
School and 24 years at Mathews Junior High School in Lubbock. She was a 
member of Texas Retired Teachers Association, NEA, Retired Teacher 
Association of the Muleshoe area, AARP and the Open Heart Club of the 
Southwest.

Survivors include an aunt, Elizabeth Brown of Altus, Okla.; and three 
cousins, Douglas Brown, Deanna Mason and Tamara Wagoner.

The family suggests memorials be to William D., Pearl and Margie L. Moore 
Division of the Opportunity Plan Inc., P.O. Box 1035, Canyon, TX 79015.
