Morris, 79, of Amarillo died Sunday, March 24, 2002. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. David Evans officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Fairmount Cemetery in Hollis, Okla., by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mrs. Morris was born in Snyder on Sept. 24, 1922. She married Max Morris in Hollis on Dec. 23, 1945. She retired after 42 years with the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She was a member of American Business Women Association for 30 years and was nominated as Woman of the Year. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 5, 1968; and a daughter, Eloise Morris, in 1988. Survivors include a daughter, Lori Herman of Amarillo; a sister, Emogene Sterling of Ira; two brothers, Buddy Cook of Carmel, Calif., and Marshall Cook of Muleshoe; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund, 1608 Wolflin Ave., Amarillo, TX 79109. The family will be at 1904 S. Roosevelt St. Amarillo Globe-News, March 26, 2002
