"Memaw" Pittillo, 89, went to be with the Lord Friday May 13, 2005. Graveside service: 10:30 a.m. Monday in Greenwood Memorial Park. The Rev George W. Dixon will officiate. Mrs. Pittillo was born Aug. 25, 1915, in Snyder, Okla., to Oscar and Fern Woody. She married Cecil Hampton Pittillo Dec. 1, 1935, and they lived on a farm near Fieldton. They moved to Lake Worth in 1946, where she was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake Worth and the L.L.L. Club. She often talked of the fun times the members shared together. Mrs. Pittillo enjoyed family gatherings where she would share old-time stories and family vacations in the New Mexico mountains. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by husband, C.H. "Hamp" Pittillo; and grandson, Darryl Felan. Survivors: Daughters, Nelda F. Burcie and husband, Herman of River Oaks, Charlotte A. Campbell and husband, Steve of Fort Worth, Sharon S. Morgan and husband, Melvin of Azle; sons, Burl W. Pittillo of Lake Worth, Dale A. Pittillo and wife, Darlene of Azle; brother, Clinton C. Woody and wife, Leona of San Angelo; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great- great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.
