Rhoades Marysville-Yuba City Appeal Democrat April 2, 2005 - 9:00AM Doyle Raymond Rhoades, 79, of Sacramento died March 30, 2005, at Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento. Born in Cambridge, Okla., he formerly lived in the Yuba-Sutter area for 16 years and was a Sacramento resident for 50 years. He was employed in floor covering work for 25 years in the Yuba-Sutter and Sacramento areas. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Leatrice Joyce Calicott Rhoades of Sacramento; two sons, Mike Raymond Rhoades Sperbeck of Yuba City and Mark Allen Rhoades of Sacramento; four brothers, Edward Maurice Rhoades of Yuba City, Leo Foy Rhoades of Placerville, Marvin Rhoades of Sacramento and Boyd Rhoades of Washington; and a sister, Lavena Mae Rhoades-Cater of Yuba City. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Rhoades; three brothers, Robert Leslie Rhoades, Hershel Richard Rhoades and Ralph Rhoades; and a sister, Jalena Fay Rhoades-Wilson. Services: A service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Tuesday, preceded by visitation starting at 9 a.m., at Ullrey Memorial Chapel, 817 Almond St., in Yuba City. Pastor Norman Sharp of the Seventh-day Adventist Church will officiate.
