All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== :: Spickler, James William James William Spickler, 81, of Weiser and formerly of Homedale, died Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007 at the VA hospital in Boise. A viewing will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell with Elks Lodge rites at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb.y 6, 2007 at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Pastor Norman Rutzen will officiate. Cremation will follow. Mr. Spickler was born June 21, 1925 in Snyder, Okla., a son of Nile and Martha Marshall Spickler. He was raised in Arizona. James served with the US Marine Corps during WW II in Japan and Korea. Later in life, he worked as a welder in shipyards. James was a member of the Elks Lodge, Masonic Lodge, Eagles Lodge and the VFW. He is survived by his son, Richard Dean Spickler of Florissant, Mo.; three brothers, Vernon Lawrence of Coolidge, Ariz., John Spickler of Black Diamond, Wash. and Butch Spickler in Mississippi.; five sisters, Delores Waddle of Caldwell, Phoebie Hensley of Spokane, Wash., Alma Morrison of Casa Grande, Ariz., Charlotte Lawrence of Williamson, Ohio and Fredna Roberts of Alaska; a special friend, Helen Shepherd of Weiser; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a great-grandson.
