Woody Sims

TULIA - Woody Sims, 84, died Friday, May 9, 1997.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Wallace Funeral Home Chapel with 
the Rev. Janell Blair, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. 
Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Sims was born in Mountain Park, Okla. He grew up and attended schools 
at Union Hill in Swisher County. He graduated from Tulia High School.

He worked for Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach, Calif., during World War II. 
In the early 1960s, he worked as a salesman for Lubrication Engineers for 
about 20 years. After he retired, he moved back to Tulia.

He married Freida Parsons. She preceded him in death.

Survivors include two stepsons; two sisters, Adell Wiggins of Amarillo, 
and Monte Oscheim of Long Beach, Calif.
