Smith, Calvan Parks
 
Calvan Parks Smith, age 82, of Bethany, OK, passed from this life after a 
lengthy illness, on 7-15-02. Calvan was born 3-1-20 in Mt. View, OK. He 
was preceded in death by parents, Rosa and Calvan ,Sr., one brother and 
two sisters. Calvan is survived by his beloved wife of 62 yrs., Evalyn of 
the home; son, Ron and Carol Smith of Roseville Calif.; son, Bill Smith 
and Whitney Whittaker of OKC; dtr., Rose and Robert Renner of OKC; and 
dtr, Susie and Steve Mattern of Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Lisa Foerster of 
Dallas, Scott Smith of Austin, Tammy Majocha of Calgary, Canada, Jeffrey 
Renner of OKC, Dustin Renner of OKC, Jay Smith of Edmond, Kristina and Ben 
Mattem of Fargo, ND; one brother, Clayton and Irene Smith of Tipton, 
Okla.; and seven great grandchildren. Calvan was a member of Cherokee 
Hills Church of Christ. He loved to sing and sung in a quartet for several 
years, loved being a salesman, and loved his family. He will be greatly 
missed. Funeral services will be at Mercer Adams Funeral Home in Bethany, 
on Thursday, 7-18-02, at 10:00 A.M., with interment at Bethany Cemetery.
