Thompson Aug. 13, 1921 - May 2, 2002 SNYDER - Funeral for Robert L. Thompson, 80, Snyder, will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Becker Funeral Home Chapel in Snyder with Edward C. Scott, Kilgore, Texas, officiating. Mr. Thompson died Thursday, May 2, 2002, at a Lawton hospital following a lengthy illness. Burial with military honors will be at Fairlawn Cemetery in Snyder. He was born Aug. 13, 1921, in Wynnewood. He married Nadine Chinn on Oct. 25, 1945, in Sulphur Rock, Ark. He was involved in the CC Camp in Colorado. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW. Survivors include his wife, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law: Judy and Larry Perry and Elizabeth and Eddie Scott, all of Kilgore; three sons and daughters-in-law: Robert "Buddy" and Mary Thompson, Guthrie; Thomas and Vickie Thompson and John and Tracy Thompson, all of Davis; a brother, Donald Thompson, Snyder; two sisters: Dorothy Noble, Snyder; and Alvalene Saxton, Norman; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, David Glenn Thompson; three sisters: Lillie Watson, Carrie Yarbrough and Loradell Thompson; and a brother, Ernest Thompson.
