Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lane Reeding with Hospice of the Plains officiating. Burial will be at Floydada Cemetery. Arrangements are by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home. Mr. Vickers was born in Roosevelt, Okla. He attended school at the Baker Community School. He worked in the grain industry and retired from Producers Cooperative Elevator in 1982. He was a former member of the Odd Fellows Organization, and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He married Clara Butler in 1989 at Floydada. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mike Vickers of Rosharon, and Todd Vickers of Lubbock; a stepson, James Burns of Floydada; a stepdaughter, Dale Burns of Baxley, Ga.; four brothers, Don Vickers and Stanley Vickers, both of Great Bend, Kan., Bud Vickers and Bob Vickers, both of Lubbock; five sisters, Ruth Gilliland and Frances James, both of Floydada, Juanita Stoser of Hayes, S.D., Sammie McCullough of Amarillo, and Gayle Scott of Tulia.
