All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Lakewood Memorial Park--Hughson CA Weakley, Myrna MYRNA WEAKLEY MAR. 15, 1931 - MAR. 31, 2007 Our beloved mother, grand mother, sister, aunt and friend passed away March 31, 2007, surrounded by her loving family after a seven year battle with cancer. Myrna (Matlage) Weakley was born in Gotebo, Oklahoma. She moved with her family to Modesto, California in the mid 40s. Myrna attended Modesto High School where she met Donald R. Weakley and went on their first date in 1948 at the Merry Gardens Roller Rink in Modesto. Soon after she graduated, Donald and Myrna married August of 1949. In 1959 Myrna took ownership of Bob's Drive-In across from Modesto High School where she served her famous 10 cent hamburgers to many high school students. She was the co-owner with her sister Bobbi Yori of the Lad & Lassie Shop, a children's clothing store in McHenry Village in the 60s. She also worked for S&W, Tillie Lewis Foods, and Diamond Walnut. Myrna was sincerely loved by all; she will always be remembered by her hospitality, personality and her marvelous cooking. Her husband Donald preceded Myrna in death in 1994 after 45 wonderful years of marriage. Myrna is survived by her sister, Bobbi Yori of Modesto, six children, Michael Weakley of Carmel, Phillip Weakley of Sonora, Donald Weakley Jr. of Sandy, Utah, Kimberly Weakley, Kelli Weakley and Kathi Weakley-Hoyt of Modesto. A service will be conducted at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home, located at 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson, CA 95326 at 2:00 PM Friday, April 6th. Reception will follow services in banquet room on site.
