Winnett Funeral for Hubert M. Winnett, 86, Lawton, will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church with Mike Shaw, pastor, officiating. Mr. Winnett died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, in Lawton. Burial with military honors will be at Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder, under direction of Becker Funeral Home, Lawton. Mr. Winnett was born Nov. 14, 1918, in Seminole, to Silas L. and Melissa Ellen Winnett. He worked for the City of Salinas, Calif., and served in the U.S. Army for three years. He married Naomi Tyler on Feb. 14, 1989, in Vernon, Texas. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a sister, Velma Banks, Mustang; six children: Shirley Winnett; Carolyn Winnett, Massachusetts; Jim Winnett, Hull, Mass.; Dr. Jack Tyler, Lawton; David Tyler, Clinton; Patricia Davis, Tulsa; three stepgrandchildren: Thearen Tyler, Nea Garrison and Jeff Tyler; seven great-grandchildren and many other grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association; 225 N. Michigan Ave., Suite 1700; Chicago, Ill. 60601.
