Zorger 21 Sep 1906 - 18 Apr 2002 Highland Cemetery, Lawton Funeral for Rose P. Zorger, 95, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Tom Alley, pastor, officiating. Ms. Zorger died Thursday, April 18, 2002, at a local hospital. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery under direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home. She was born Sept. 21, 1906, in Gotebo to Nice Jim and Leona Evans. She attended elementary school at Mountain Park and graduated from Anadarko High School. She then attended business college in Anadarko. She worked for Gibbs Insurance, Kiowa Indian Nation and in real estate in Anadarko for several years. She married Francis C. Mathiews on Feb. 16, 1933. He died March 13, 1952. She then married B. D. Wood on Sept. 5, 1959. He died Sept. 3, 1969. She married Blunt Zorger on Jan. 5, 1973. He died Sept. 3, 1995. She moved to Lawton in 1935 and began working in civil service until she retired. She was a member of the National Association of Federal Employees, The OSA Chapter No. 14 and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include three step-daughters: Lorene Oliver, San Clemente, Calif.; Gwen Trout, Ardmore; and Kathy Gebert, Dallas; a step-son, Joe Zorger, Oklahoma City; a brother, Ed Evans, Security, Colo.; a sister-in- law, Marie Wilson, Lawton; a step-granddaughter, Judy Stubblefield, San Clemente; and a step-grandson, Ronnie Zorger, Duke. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and two brothers.
