A resident of Bakersfield of 57 years, passed away February 2, 2003 in Bakersfield. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Charlene of 41 years, he is also survived by his two sons, Greg Battles and Troy Battles and daughter in law, Karley; five grandchildren, Lacredon, Austin, Travis, Natalie, Sara; as well as three sisters, four brothers, brother in law, Wayne Carroll and his wife Maxine. Harold was employed in the oil industry for 40 years, after becoming semi- retired he began driving a bus for the high school district. His Liberty High School bus route kids were very special to him. With life long friends Frank and Betty Isaacs, they built a cabin in the mountains and established many fond memories and a mountain community of friends that are very special. The family would like to give a special thank you to San Joaquin Hospital ICU staff. They are indeed wonderful and caring individuals.
