He was born in Bengal, Oklahoma on Feb. 27, 1938. He moved to Davis in 1954, where he worked in the construction business. In 1977 he created his own construction firm, Cannon and Sons. Mr. Cannon specialized in residential construction, mainly in Yolo County. Mr. Cannon is survived by his wife Sue and son Gary, and grandsons Cody and Craig Cannon, all of Woodland. In addition he is survived by two brothers, Delbert and James Cannon, and a sister, Margaret Ann Hamner, all of Oklahoma and also numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his older son, Michael Cannon in 1982, and his parents, George and Dorothy Cannon, both of Oklahoma. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 28, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.. at McNary's Chapel, 458 College St., Woodland. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 29, at the Woodland Christian Church. Interment will follow at Monument Hill Memorial Park, Woodland.
