Hall, Joe William

A graveside service will be conducted for Joe William Hall, age 95, 
on Monday, October 30, 2006, at 2pm, at Wasco Memorial Park. Pastor 
Ed Boschman of Laurelglen Bible Church will officiate. Visitation 
will be held at Peters Funeral Home on Saturday and Sunday, October 
28th and 29th, from 2-8 pm, and Monday, October 30, from 9am to 1pm. 
Joe was born in Wilberton, Oklahoma, to Siles and Fronie Hall on July 
16, 1911. He married Gertrude Evans on October 22, 1932, in Red Oak, 
Oklahoma. The couple stayed in the area as the started their family 
and farmed. In 1942 Joe moved the family to Wasco Ca. where he worked 
as a Ranch Superintendent in agriculture growing mainly cotton and 
potatoes. Joe was one of the developing pioneers of the 
Wasco/Semitropic area. After retirement Joe and his wife moved to 
Mendota to be closer to family and stay busy in the farming business 
of their son, Earl Hall. Joe was also a professional team roper and 
he always made sure his boys had good horses to ride. He was a hard-
working man, but he enjoyed occasionally go on hunting trips with 
friends. Joe's family will always remember how generous and giving he 
was to them. Joe was preceded in death by his sons, W. D. Hall and 
Baby Robert Hall. He is survived by his wife, Gertrude; sons, James 
Hall and wife, Sandy of Visalia, Earl Hall and wife, Beverly of 
Fresno; sister, Gladys Hunt of Paradise, Ca; grandchildren, Brad 
Hall, Stacy and Todd Hampton, Peggy and Harold Sisemore, Penny and 
Chris Skeels; great grandchildren, Dallona and Jimmy Etheredge, Devin 
Sisemore, Heather and Billy Noll and Hillary Skeels; 2 great-great 
grandchildren, Triston and Maddison. Joe William Hall July 16, 1911 -
