April 22, 1920 -- July 4, 2001

Albert Ray Mitchell, 81, of Modesto died Wednesday at Memorial Medical
Center.

Mr. Mitchell was a native of Lodi, Okla. He lived in Modesto 58 years. He
was a government employee 30 years. He was a member of Prescott
Evangelical Free Church. He served in the Army during World War II.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret P. Mitchell of Modesto; children,
Patricia Ann Atnip of Modesto and Carolyn Rae Mitchell of New York, N.Y.;
and three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

No public services. Burial at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson. Salas
Brothers Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Remembrances may be made to Prescott Evangelical Free Church, 3000
Prescott Road, Modesto 95350.
