Leona Talbott

The graveside service for Leona Talbott will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at 
Stearns Cemetery, Talent.

Mrs. Talbott, 86, of Talent, died Wednesday (April 10, 2002) in Medford.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. 
Box 698, Medford, OR 97501.

She was born Nov. 8, 1915, in Lutie, Okla., the daughter of John and Narah 
(Crabtree) Chapman. On Nov. 24, 1939, in Clifton, Ariz., she married 
Gordon Lee Talbott, who died in 1993. She had lived in the Rogue Valley 
since 1941.

She worked as a cook for the Medford school district.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 
Ashland Ward.

Survivors include one daughter, Annie M. Westensee, Talent; one brother; 
five sisters, five grandsons and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded 
in death by her husband, two sisters and one grandson.
