SAMUEL J.C. THREET MARCH 29, 1933 - JAN. 7, 2007 Mr. Samuel J.C. Threet, age 73, of Delhi, CA, died Sunday, January 7, 2007, at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock, CA. Sam was born in Red Oak, OK and raised in Honey Grove, TX. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He then moved to Turlock in the 1950's and he married Florence November 28, 1955. Sam owned Delhi Shell service station from 1966 to 1970 then opened Threet's Lander Shell service station from 1970 to 1982. Samuel was active in Cub Scouts in Delhi, and the Livingston Masonic Lodge. Sam also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He is survived by his daughters, Sherry Lamoureaux of Delhi, CA, Denise Bright of Reno, NV and Debbie Threet of Delhi; sons, Samuel Threet Jr. of Modesto and Steve Threet of Turlock; brothers, Ernie Threet and Dean Threet, both of Turlock; sister, Sylvia Brown of Modesto; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway, Turlock, CA, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, January 18, 2007. Funeral service will be at Allen Mortuary at 1:00 PM Friday, January 19, 2007. Interment will be at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine, CA at a later date.
