Obit for Bud Ballew


Extracted from 11 May 1922 "Madill Record"
Former  Deputy Sheriff "Bud" BALLEW shot & killed, Wichita Falls, Tx. Friday.  Former State
Ranger J.W. McCormick, now chief of police surrended.  "Bud" Ballew was a deputy sheriff at
Ardmore, ousted from office last winter.  Had been injured in courthouse fight there.  Burial
today at side of father at the little cemetery at Lone Grove.
