Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Garner Pool officiating. Burial will be in Shady Point Cemetery by Evans and Miller Funeral Home. Mr. Armstrong was born Dec. 26, 1922, in Poteau. He was a farmer and rancher. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; five daughters, Phyllis Gullick of Noble, Donna Snook and Tonna Armstrong, both of Shady Point, Betsy Abbott of Perryton, Texas, and Teresa Lowry of New Braunfels, Texas; two sons, Lynn Armstrong of Panama and James Armstrong of Shady Point; a sister, Joyce Thompson of Poteau; two brothers, Buford Armstrong of Fort Smith, Ark., and Willis "Chuck" Armstrong of Spiro; 22 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and five stepchildren.
