He was born Oct. 1, 1933, in Clayton to Jack B. and Liddy Mae (Melton) Broyles. He spent his days as a truck driver. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Free Will Baptist Church of Poteau. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Louiebelle Meeh; and a sister-in-law, JoAnne Broyles. He is survived by his wife, Bernice Broyles of the home; seven sons and daughters-in-law, Richard of Myrtle Creek, Ore., Russell and Tami of Glide, Ore., Dan and Robin of Fort Smith, Ark., Ray and Sandra of Spiro, Mark and Shauna of Poteau, John and Joyce of League City, Texas, and Mike of Wister; his brothers and sister-in-law, Jack of Poteau, Leroy and Wanda of Tenn.;12 grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; and several other relatives, friends and loved ones. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with Rev. Jimmy D. Cook officiating.
