Jonathan was born October 25, 1956, in Sasebo Kyushu, Japan, adopted to loving parents of Marvin Wesley and Aileen Marie (Mullen) Calvery. He was an X-ray Processor Technician for Sparks Regional Medical Center for 27 years. Jonathan was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his wife Linda Lee, of the home; his mother of Batesville AR.; two sons, Jonathan Wesley Calvery II and Daniel Lee Calvery of the home; one sister, Rebecca Marie Arthur of Snow Hill North, Carolina; and one bother, Michael Wesley Calvery of Austin, Texas. Jonathan was bilingual, and spoke fluent Japanese. He attended Christian Academy in Japan, Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College, Westark Junior College, Kiamichi Technical Institute of Poteau, Oklahoma; Oklahoma State University of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, where he was currently pursuing a degree in Air Conditioning and Heating, along with an Associate of Arts Degree. He attended the Panama Free Will Baptist Church. His hobbies included collecting comic books and Hot Wheels cars. His favorite place to eat Chinese food was Ming Garden with long time friends, Snow and Eddie. His favorite lunch spot was Tammy’s Tamales, with love to Tammy. Services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 18, 2005, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Nolan officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
