All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Shiloh Cemetery--Windsor CA Santa Rosa Press Democrat Published on July 16, 1996 JOYCE ECKLES Joyce Arlene Eckles, who moved to Healdsburg from Slaton, Texas, in 1967, died of cancer Thursday at a Fort Smith, Ark., medical center. She was 71. Born in Lawn, Texas, Eckles lived the past two years near relatives in Howe, Okla. She moved from Healdsburg. A homemaker, Eckles was interested in genealogy, crafts, crocheting and visiting with her grandchildren and family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Healdsburg Ward, and the Ladies Relief Society. She is survived by her sons, Robert Eugene Eckles of Howe, Okla., Archie Ozell Eckles of Healdsburg, Benny Don Eckles and Allen Lee Eckles, both of Santa Rosa; daughters, Bonnie Marlene Vasquez of Santa Rosa, and Linda Arlene Mills of Wister, Okla. She was the sister of Edwin Clinton Martin of Slaton, Texas, Bobby Martin of Cloverdale, and Wanda Laverne Kearn of Sonoma. She also is survived by 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Friends can visit at 1:15 p.m. today at the church, 310 Powell Ave. in Healdsburg. Services will be at 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery in Windsor.
