All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Vaughn Cemetery--Gilmore OK Woodrow Goins January 06, 1922 - January 31, 2005 Republic, Missouri Funeral Service: 2:00 PM February 05, 2005 at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel Interment: February 05, 1905 at Vaughn Cemetery Gilmore, OK Woodrow “Woody” Goins, 83, of Republic, Missouri, passed away January 31, 2005, at the Christian Health Care facility of Republic. He was born on January 6, 1922, in Poteau, Oklahoma. Woody received an Honorable discharge from the U. S. Army and later graduated from Oklahoma State University. Woody taught school in Nebraska for several years before becoming a manager of a local farmer’s cooperative. After a short while, Woody was made Division Manager for Famer’s Industries with whom he retired in 1984. Survivors include his wife Edith Pauline (Huddleston) Goins of the home; two sons, Keith of Republic, Mo. and Dennis and his wife, Judy, of Nixa, Mo.; four grandchildren, Melisa, and her husband, Shannon, and their two children, Chloe and Riley; Jason, Evie, and Nicholas; two brothers, Al of Las Vegas, Nevada and Vinyard of Tracy, California; five sisters, Irene Vermette of Holt, Michigan, Loretta McParland of Atwater, California, Ruby Burden Gregory of Poteau, Oklahoma, Iris McCullough of Atwater, California, and Kathy Himes of Poteau, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Vossie (Crenshaw) and Doc Goins, and a brother, Clyde of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 5, 2005 at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel in Poteau with Jeff Little officiating. Interment will follow at the Vaughn Cemetery in Gilmore. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau. Woody touched us all with his love of life, friends and family. We will miss his smile, his patience, his sense of humor always present, but most of all, his company.
