Rachel was born on December 21, 1958, to Newell and Euna Madine (Balentine) Blaylock in Wister, Oklahoma. Rachel married James Helton on May 29, 1998, at Southside Baptist Church in Poteau, Oklahoma. She worked at the Sonic Drive-In for twenty-two years. Rachel was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband, James, of the home; her mother, Euna Madine Simmons of Poteau; a sister, Rebecca Sue Seale, and her husband, Rob, of Poteau; a niece, Tierney Seale and a nephew, Aaron Seale; her mother-in-law, Ms. Luther Paul (Vera) Helton, of Poteau, and many other loved ones and friends. Pallbearers will be Rob Seale, Aaron Seale, Jim Seale, Bill Helton, Aud Balentine, and Bentley Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Wiles and Ed Riley. Services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday August 1, 2006, at the Southside Baptist Church in Poteau, Oklahoma, with the Rev. Garry Haskins and Rev. Brian Fields officiating the services under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau.
