Hill, Billie Jo    

Billie Jo Hill Dec. 17, 1938 - Aug. 13, 2007 The world has lost a 
very special lady: Billie Jo Hill, born December 17, 1938, in Panama, 
Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord, August 13, 2007, in Bakersfield, 
California. She was, indeed, special in many ways, but uniquely 
special as only one who loves and teaches children can be. For 21 
years she gave of herself as a volunteer with the Memorial Hospital 
Auxiliary and another 17 years she volunteered as teacher for the 1st 
grade Sunday School class at Calvary Bible church. Put all those 
years and all those children together and just imagine, if you can, 
how many met Jesus through Billie Jo Hill! The ones who know best how 
special she was are her family, of course: her husband, Chuck Hill, 
sweethearts for 47 years; their loving son, Michael; and Chuck's 
mother, also named Billie Hill, but known best as "Momma Hill". Also 
mourning her death, but celebrating her resurrection, is her sister, 
Betty Garner and brother-in-law, Clell Garner; niece, Tania Carlson; 
and great-nephews, Robbie Carlson and Michael Wong. Oh, yes, and her 
many, many friends who will miss her so much, but will never forget 
what a blessing she has been to all who knew her. Visitation has been 
scheduled at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Thursday, August 16th, from 
4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held Friday, August 
17th, at Hillcrest Memorial Park, at 9:00 a.m., and a Memorial 
Service, praising the Lord as He receives her in His infinite love, 
will be held on Saturday, August 18th, at Calvary Bible Church, at 
10:00 a.m.
