Hill Blaine V. Hill, 64, of Olivehurst died Aug. 21, 2000, at Rideout Memorial Hospital. Born in Muse, Okla., he had been a Yuba-Sutter resident since 1969. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years service. He was a life member and past commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4095 of Olivehurst, a member of the American Legion of Marysville and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 122 of Grass Valley. Survivors include his wife, Wanda J. Hill of Olivehurst; one son, James R. Hill of Olivehurst; one daughter, Melva Hill of Grants Pass, Ore.; five stepsons, John Guenther of Fletcher, Mo., Bobby Guenther of De Soto, Mo., Marvin Wilson of Jasper, Ark., and Ronald Wilson and Michael Wilson, both of Harrison, Ark.; one stepdaughter, Michelle Crye of Harrison, Ark.; two brothers, James "Dutch" Hill of Vallejo and Jimmie W. Hill of Crescent City; four sisters, Sarah Jones and Dollie Lee, both of Vallejo, Linda Sutch of Clear Lake and Virginia Eastep of Roseburg, Ore.; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Oliver Hill, Thomas Hill, James "Dink" Hill and Billy Hill; and two sisters, Stella Gilmore and Sissie Hill. Services: A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall in Olivehurst with the VFW Chaplain officiating. Burial will be in San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine.
