All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Hinds, Geraldine "Gerri" (Kilgore) Gerri, a longtime resident of Sun City, Arizona, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 7, 2007. She was born in Panama, Oklahoma on November 30, 1927. She was employed by Ford Aerospace in Newport Beach for over 25 years and retired on January 1, 1987, to begin a life doing the things she enjoyed yet never had the time to do. During her years of retirement, she continued many of the friendships that began during her time at Ford Aerospace. Gerri will be remembered for her love of family and friends, some of whom she has had since childhood. If words could even begin to describe her, she would be referred to as courageous, dignified, compassionate, hardworking and a joy to be with. Her unfailing integrity is unfortunately uncommon in todayÕs world. Her home was always warm and welcoming to all, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren with whom she found much joy! The precious memories she created by the gift of her time as well as the values she instilled in her grandchildren, will stay with them throughout their lives, as it will us. She became known as Òthe queenÓ by her great grandson, Jaiden, who lost no time in reminding us that he was always going to be Òher kingÓ and she in turn, would be Òhis queen!Ó She was also proud to be a lifetime member of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her beloved Eugene Kingsbury with whom she has shared her life for 22 years. She also leaves her sons: Jack (daughter-in-law, Cathy) and Bennie Hinds; her precious sister, Barbara Rees; as well as her grandchildren: Jack III, Danielle, Katie and Joe Hinds, as well as Bennie and Patrick Hinds. Added to the joy of being a grandmother, she was also blessed with great grandchildren: Jaiden, Kayla and Brieana. Gerri is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Janie Ruth (Billy Bob) Greenwood, Susan (Norman) Hoffman, Ann (Larry Don) Brooks, Rick (Carolyn) Rees, and Paul Rees all from Oklahoma. She also has countless other nieces, nephews and cousins. Gerri was preceded in death by her husband Jack Hinds (1957) and her daughters: Thelma Sue Hinds and Carra Joan Hinds. She will be sadly missed, always loved, forever remembered. All services will be held at Forest Lawn Cypress located at 4471 Lincoln Avenue, Cypress, California. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 11, 2007. Services will be on Saturday, May 12, 2007 and will be officiated by Pastor Charles (Pedro) Buford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance, 910 17th St. N.W. Suite 1190, Washington D.C. 20006.
