August 12, 2004 at the funeral home. Funeral Service: 10:30 AM Friday August 13, 2004 at Poteau First Assemebly of God Church in Poteau, Interment: Oakland Cemetery in Poteau Don Alden Logan went home to be with his Lord on August 10, 2004, in Poteau, Oklahoma, at the age of 70. Don was born April 6, 1934, in Soper, Oklahoma, to the late Earl B. Logan and the late Lilllie E. (Wright) Logan. He graduated from Soper High School in 1952. He and Arlene Lee were married September 20, 1958, in Tupelo, Oklahoma. He served in the Army Reserve as a Spc. 4. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad in 1994 with a total service of 42 years. Don was a man of great wisdom and exceptional common sense. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and playing his guitar. He loved music and worship. Don's greatest love was for his Lord and his family. He served them with his time, money, and talent. His six granddaughters were his pride and joy. He loved making things for friends and family as he was a master craftsman with wood. He was a member of Poteau First Assembly of God Church in Poteau. He served on the official board as secretary/treasurer, and also, served as a Sunday School teacher. Don was preceded in death by his parents. Don leaves behind his beloved wife, Arlene, of the home; his son, Michael Logan and his wife, Wendy, of Ponca City, Oklahoma; his daughter, Le Ann Cain, and her husband, Matt, of Lantana, Texas; six precious granddaughters Michaela Logan, Ashlee Logan, Aprille Logan, Sarah Cain, Rebecca Cain, and Logan Cain; three brothers, Harold Logan and his wife Meda, of Enid, Ok., H. T. "Butch" Logan and his wife Surilda, of Soper, Ok. and Rogene Logan and his wife Dorothy, of Denison, Texas; a sister, May Nell Simpson of Antlers, Ok. Pallbearers will be D. K. Isham, Jeff Callaway, James Mathis, Tom Conder, Rob Wylie, Aaron Williams, and Josh Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Galatin, Pastor Forrest Frazier, Pastor John Johnson, Pastor Ray Sorenson, Stan Fowler, James Hendrickson, Harry Reyburn, and the Poteau First Assembly of God family. Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, August 13, 2004, at the Poteau First Assembly of God Church in Poteau, Oklahoma, with Pastor Keith Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau. The family will greet visitors and friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau. In lieu of flowers, a memorial may be made in honor of Don Logan at Arvest Bank, at 3002 N.
