Moody July 5, 1925 — Sept. 25, 2006 Harrel Willis Moody, 81, of Modesto died Monday at Memorial Medical Center. Mr. Moody was a native of Heavener, Okla. He had lived in Modesto since 1945 and previously lived in Ventura in 1944. He was a welder 17 years for Heil Mfg., Modesto, and then worked 17 years at Hunt Wesson Foods, Oakdale, and was a member of Boiler Makers Union and Teamsters Local 948. He was a deacon of Missionary Baptist Church, Ceres, for 49 years. He enjoyed fishing, building crafts, walking and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Ida Belle Moody of Modesto; children, Elden DeRoy Moody and Vicky Ann Cardona, both of Modesto, and Harrel Richard Moody of Seattle; sister, Velma Deere of Poteau, Okla.; and seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. Visitation from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel.
