All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Napa Valley Register Tuesday, December 11 & 13, 2007 Kenneth Miller CORNING -- Kenneth David Miller, 74, died Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, at his home in Corning. He was born May 21, 1933, in Stigler, Okla. Ken had been a Corning resident for the past 16 years, living on his farm west of town where he raised specialty hogs and chickens. He was an avid gardener and raised high-yielding fruits and vegetables. Ken joined the U.S. Marine Corps as a young man and served overseas in the Korean War. Returning to the United States, Ken served in the White House Honor Guard and later at the Pentagon. Before his honorable discharge, he received several service medals. Ken was known for standing tall, as he never lost his Marine Corps posture. His wife of 18 years, Beverly Miller, precedes Kenneth in death. Daughter, Teirey (George) Tagliaferri of St. Helena; step-son, Ted Tamagni of Calistoga; brothers, Larry (Mary) Miller of Concord, and Franklin Don Miller of Burns, Wyo.; sister, Laura Ferrante of Walnut Creek; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joan and Roger Wilson of Napa; two grandchildren, three nieces and four nephews survive Kenneth. Memorial services for Kenneth will be held Saturday, Dec. 15, 1 p.m., at the Corning Senior Center, corner of South and Fourth streets.
