Don was born on September 8, 1938, to Charles Edward and Arizona (Ritter) Perry in Midway, Oklahoma. Don was married to Syble Killion on October 5, 1957, in Poteau, Oklahoma. They were married for 48 wonderful years. Don worked as a carpenter for 30 years and as the pastor for the United Pentecostal Church of Poteau for the past 16 years. Don was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Kenneth Perry and Arlis Perry; and two sisters Lorene Smith and Maxine Gilispie. He is survived by his wife, Syble, of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Jeff Jensen of Poteau; a son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Sharon Perry of Wister; four grandchildren, Joe Don Perry, Bo & Deidre Perry, Charli & Matt Lamb, and Levi Jensen; six great grandchildren Jacie Perry, Braxton Lamb, Katie Jo Perry, Kelli Jo Perry, Jayden Perry, Londyn Perry; a brother, Warren Perry and many other loved ones, friends, and church members. Pallbearers will be Gary Maxwell, Joe Dunn, Paul Lobello, Bobby Price, Joshua Bauer, and Bill Shirel. Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, April 3, 2006, at the United Pentecostal Church of Poteau located on South Broadway. The Rev. Johnny Cheek and Rev. Matthew Martin will be officiating the services under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau.
