He was born on April 4, 1925, to Richard and Sara (Pepper) Prescott. Richard loved to play music with Poteau Jamboree where he played the fiddle. He is survived by four sons, Richard Lee Prescott, Jr. of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Billy Ray Prescott of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Kenneth Wayne Prescott of Pocola, Oklahoma, Roger Dale Prescott, and wife Stephanie, of Cameron, Oklahoma, four daughters, Carolyn Mae Gunter and Linda Gail Hagler both of Spiro, Oklahoma, Margaret Ann Anderson and Mary Ellen Horn and husband Luke, both of Cameron, Oklahoma, three brothers, Charles Prescott of Caddo Gap, Arkansas, Jerry Prescott of Pocola, Oklahoma, Clifford Prescott of Cameron, Oklahoma, two sisters, Barbara Ann Hurst and Arlene Prescott both of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, twenty five grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, a host family and friends. Pallbearers will be Tommy Dailey, Mark Cowan, Robert Dailey, Rodney Prescott, John Moss, Jr., and Bobby Emerson. Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 17, 2006, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel, Poteau, OK, with interment at Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron, OK. Officiating will be Rev. Marty Ford and Rev. J.C. Walls.
